I've always been a casual shopper and avid follower of Freia from a few years back because they always bring in lots of cutting-edge beauty brands and top-notch products, and I really subscribe to their philosophy towards science + beauty, but never tried their medispa services properly back then because of cost considerations. Fast forward today, I am recovering from troubled skin, so I decided to try the Ultra Luxe Laser facial and the entire experience from start to finish was impeccable!
Doctor's Consult: I really enjoyed the candid, no-bullshit consultation with Dr Chester. Extremely honest, thorough, upfront, and knowledgeable about acne treatment protocols. Dr Chester shared with me the different treatment methods and laser types for various types of acne scars/active acne, and the consultation was extremely easy because he listened to my concerns and priorities. Laser procedure was most comfortable, painless (medical-grade numbing cream was great), and the afterglow was so good! I think it's so important to have that patient-doctor understanding before any procedure, and they really delivered on this.
LDM facial: Probably what a slice of heaven feels like! The entire facial and massage was soooo comfortable, I loved the facial products and tools used; my facial therapist was Fion, who was very gentle and adept with her hands. Applied just the right amount of pressure on my face, neck and shoulders, and she would explain the products used when asked. Right after the facial, my face is soft, dewy, glowing and hydrated with that Korean "chok chok" texture. This is probably in part due to the laser+combi facial, but my skin really feels and looks so much better (smaller pores, brighter skin, reduced redness, even skin tone, soft and hydrated, lighter acne scars).

1. Aromatic Inhalation
Starting every treatment right, this step calms and settles your mind for a serene and soothing time ahead.
2. Double Cleansing
The dual cleansing process includes the removal of any makeup, followed by cleansing with a refining gel cleanser containing sulfonic acid to stimulate enzymatic exfoliation.
3. Exfoliation
Next, we introduce Future's signature Flash 10 Botanical Deep Cleanser - kickstarting the exfoliation process to rid of the dead skin cells.
4. Steaming and Extraction
Steaming helps to open up the pores and soften the skin, making it easier for subsequent steps such as extraction. Blackheads, whiteheads, and other impurities are skilfully removed to promote clearer skin.
5. Light Numbing
A medical-grade numbing cream is applied thinly for 10-15 minutes, for a more comfortable and relaxing experience of pico laser.
6. Picosure Intense Laser
15 minutes on the Picosure intense laser (done by one of the doctors at Freia Medical) to bring about skin rejuvenation, reducing pigmentation, refining pores, etc. The sensation is akin to sparklers delicately dancing on our skin.
7. LDM®
Based on your skin's specific needs, our therapist will customise the treatment by blending Future's Soft Treatment Gel - an algae-infused gel mask - with a suitable Future Beauty Drops serum (available in 3 variations for different skin types). This potent combination is then delivered deep into your skin using the LDM machine to significantly reduce inflammation, soothe, heal, improve skin's immunity and ensure the optimal penetration of all the skincare goodness deep into your skin.
8. Facial Massage
