This two-step process is your first beauty gesture to correct any skin imbalances by thoroughly cleansing your skin and effectively removing the toxins and impurities that accumulate throughout the day.
This explains why in Joelle’s modest collection of 20+ products,, she emphasizes this important step by offering not 1, but 4 cleanser variants. There is no cookie-cutter approach in the world of Joelle Ciocco - the choice of the second cleanser depends on how your skin responds when using the first. Like clues leading to the next puzzle, Joelle’s approach to a typically “simple” (and sometimes neglected) ritual of cleansing is refreshing and insightful.
When we adopt a thorough Double Cleansing at night, our skin’s ecosystem regenerates to create its own natural defenses as we sleep. It is therefore not necessary to cleanse your skin again in the morning. Instead, we recommend cleaning the skin using a lotion rich in purifying yet calming actives like the Aromatic Lotion to remove the night’s exudate.

The secret to beautiful skin lies in its ability to breathe; to be open and to ensure the elimination of toxins. The improvement in skin's cutaneous respiration occurs via the skin; where oxygen moves from the external to the internal environment. When skin cannot breathe, the occlusion causes pimples, whiteheads and dull skin. And when we wear heavy make up and not removed effectively (hence our focus on double cleansing), skin will look dull, devitalized, colour-less.. The lower, living layers of skin get their oxygen and nutrients from the blood supply so the more we can oxygenate the skin, the better.

My hero product in the collection, this celestial serum contains iris and hibiscus to enliven any dull and lackluster complexion while keeping it ultra soothed and hydrated. Perhaps it is the naturally pink hue from the 2 flower extracts that works to restore radiance and skin brightness to a whole new level.
